What is Donkey Kong?

Donkey Kong is an iconic arcade game that entered the arcades in 1981, created by gaming pioneer Shigeru Miyamoto. It showed the world Jumpman (later Mario) attempting to rescue Pauline in a classic getaway attempt from Donkey Kong. Considered among the first games to let characters jump, this laid the foundation for the platformer genre and were a huge hit. Gameplay

Controls:

Arrow Keys → Move left or right, climb ladders (up), or duck/descending fast (down)
Spacebar → Jump over gaps or obstacles
Z Key → Throw objects (later levels)

Get Good at Timing the Jumps – Barrels roll down at differing speeds, and precise timing in your jumps will avoid them.

Pause Before Moving – Some platforms will collapse shortly after being stepped on—time your moves well.
