What is 60 Minutes Til Rot?

60 Minutes Til Rot is a survival game mixing scavenging, defense, and emotional storytelling in a quick and action-packed experience. Set in the post-apocalyptic world, you play the role of siblings struggling to survive against hordes. By day, you scavenge food, weapons, and barricade materials; by night, you defend your shelter with the last remnants of its fortification against waves of enemies. Game Boy-style retro visuals with gripping narration brings to life the desperation of survival and tests player strategy and reflexes.

How to Play

Day: Search for resources. Everything is important-there is food, or weapons, or defences? Which one does one choose? Time is limited and must be divided wisely.
Night: Defend against hordes of enemies. Make sure to stay well defended using traps, barricades, and weapons. Repair your defences during the fight, so it might be harder for them to create openings. Position all your defences smartly.
Survival Loop: Balancing between short-term (surviving tonight) and long-term (finding supplies for tomorrow) need could account for petty distraction with constant countdown.

Tips & Tricks

Choose What Matters Most: At first, focus on weapons and the basics of defense. With insufficient defense, any tiny horde could just swarm you.
Scavenge Wisely: Don't waste precious daylight hours. What you want to do is hit the rich areas first-abandoned stores or warehouses.
Night Time: Enemies should be jammed into choke points. Traps and barricades work best when layered.
Sibling Bond: Your decisions build story unfolding. Sometimes the decisions might weigh immediate survival against deeper narrative moments.

The game takes its inspiration from classic survival horrors and old retro Game Boy games. Combining pixel-art visuals with a moody and desperate atmosphere, with the soundtrack and sound design capable of raising the tension, it turns every scavenging run and horde attack into a desperate one.
