History

The kalimba is a modernized type of millennia-old mbira, originating from the Shona people of Zimbabwe. Keylimba simulates a 10-key Hugh Tracey kalimba design that gained much popularity during the 20th century. The actual sounds featured within were recorded off the real kalimba, a sort of a wonderful gift to the developer from his partner Amanda, to whom the game is lovingly dedicated!
