What is Sort The Court!?
Have you dreamt of ruling your own realm? Sort the Court! whisks you away to the throne, but kingship is not all fancy banquets and parades: Every decision matters—subjects, merchants, and monsters come to your judgment. Say yes or no wisely; as they do, your choices will build or drain the coffers, elevate the happiness, or encourage the very survival of the kingdom before you: Shall you be a charitable King or a cunning despot? It's heavier than it appears!
How to Play
- Hear Requests – Subjects will come to you with pleas, offers, or demands.
- Choose Wisely – Say yes or no to every request, keeping an eye on gold, happiness, and population.
- Manage These Resources – Keep your treasury filled and your subjects happy—or the throne will be lost!
- Survive Long Enough – Some choices have long-term effects. Plan ahead!
Tips & Tricks
- Gold vs. Happiness – Sacrificing one for the other is sometimes needed—just don’t go bankrupt or enrage your kingdom!
- Monster Deals – Who knows? Trading a few humans for buckets of gold may save your treasury… or not.
- Early Mid- and Late Scenarios – Early: Growth is your goal. Late: Stability is the key.
- Have Fun Experimenting! – There's no absolute "correct" way to rule. Try different avenues!
History
Developed by the indie team comprising @graebor (coding), @amymja (art), and @bogdan_rybak, Sort The Court! is a witty combination of irreverent whimsy and counterpart addictive exercises of decision-making. The beauty in this very simple game lies in the fact that each click matters, and no five plays can be alike.
