What is Bee Connect?

Bee Connect combines the elements of strategy, quick reflexes, and some mathematics in a fascinating puzzle game. It is set upon a charming honeycomb grid, where the objective is to join hexagons with numbers to create higher-value tiles, earning precious stars in the process to spend on powerful skills. GAMEPLAY

Playing Area: The playing area comprises a hexagonal grid consisting of 37 cells, each cell having one numbered tile.
Matching Tiles: At least 4 tiles with the same number are to be connected by clicking and dragging the tile over the other.
Tile Combination: Once matched, the tiles merge together as one tile worth the total of their values.
Movement: Tiles can only move if a path is clear; otherwise, obstacles block your way!
The New Tiles: A new tile is dropped every 3rd move to pile on pressure and force your hand on a well-thought-out strategy.
Stars Award: Stars are earned after successful tile merging so that powerful skills may be unlocked to aid you on your way.

Hints & Strategies

Thinking Ahead: Always keep 2 or 3 moves ahead, so you do not get clotted with tiles that do not match.
Making the Best of Skills: Manage your stars wisely and go for skills like Remove 5(35 stars) early for huge clears.
Color Coordination Skills: The Remove Same Color skill (75 stars) becomes the ultimate late-game tool.
Young Refresh: In an early jam, the Refresh skill (10 stars) can sort out your board on the cheap.
Master of Space: Keep the board as open as possible to allow for free movement of tiles.

History

Though Bee Connect has no long historical background, the mechanics therein are derived from the morestone tile matching and number merging games like Threes! and 2048, albeit the game takes a fresh twist on the hexagonal format. The bee-themed look combined with skill progression gives the game its unique aura in the puzzle sphere.
