What Is Temple Run 2?

Temple Run 2 is one second of adrenaline less than endless running. Fast-paced escape action from a faceless monster through dangerous territories-jungle, cliffs, and ancient ruins-while ducking under obstacles, sliding along barriers, or leaping over huge gaps. The objective is to survive as long as possible, gather a score, and spend gold on character upgrades. With never an end to the race, every run is a test for speed and strategy!

Gameplay

Controls: Swipe up to jump, down to slide, leftwards/rightwards to turn. Tilt your device to steer along with collecting coins.
The Goal: Get away from the demon monkey (and it's bigger now!) and into falling logs, bonfires, paths, and collapsing bridges.
Collectibles: Collect gold coins to unlock characters and power-ups and shoot for score multipliers.

Tips and Tricks

Perfect Your Turns: Treat those sharp corners ahead of time; swiping early is the best way to avoid crashing.
Upgrade Your Power-ups: Earn and equip the coin magnet and shield early on to extend your runs.
Character Abilities Matter: Every hero, such as Scarlett Fox and Bruce Lee, has its perks so try them all and pick your favorite.
Center Yourself: Staying in the middle of the path affords you more time to react to impending obstacles.

History

The first Temple Run (2011) utterly changed the mobile world because of its simple-yet-difficult formula. Temple Run 2 (2013) took it a step further with the addition of fancy 3D graphics, dynamic environments, and new mechanics like zip-lines and mine carts, which cemented it as a legend from the dawn of the genre.
